Self Portrait I (sorta)
I need to stop painting over everything. A decent first effort.
Over the years, I always struggled with portraiture and depicting human elements in more representational or realistic ways. Turns out, my issue was paint seems to work better for my drawing and sketching than pencils do.

Early in my time as a Post-Baccalaureate, I decided to commit to pushing myself out of my comfort zones and trying new things artistically. I was new to oil paints anyway, so it didn’t hurt to see how they worked, and go for a semi-realistic portrait painting. Of course later in the year, I finally learned to stop painting over everything…
